Below are links to my short stories published at various online sites.
At Wattpad, you can find “D.O.R.”, the first episode in my Mel Marcos, Detective series. This story, like “Finders Keepers” (below), had a rough beginning many years ago, when I read an article about an animal rescue team that recovers and studies the bodies of road accident victims, what they referred to as “D.O.R.” (dead-on-road). I immediately thought of D.O.A., the noir film about a man who learns he’s been poisoned and has only 24 hours to find the killer. It’s amazing how long an idea can ferment at the back of a writer’s mind before finding its way into an actual story — and I swear that I thought of this before Ace Ventura: Pet Detective was made.
Also on Wattpad, “Flatiron’s Walk” and “Your Options”, the first a bit of magical realism, and the second a walk on the science fiction side.
My first online pub was “Finders Keepers”, at Knowonder! I wrote the initial draft of this story waaaay back in the early 1990s, before there was any such thing as e-zines, but the site has updated (content is no longer free), and my story has disappeared into the ether. Ah well.
Lovely little story — thanks for sharing it!
PS: The link took me to the Knowonder site but not your story — I had to enter your name into the search facility there before I could read it.

Thanks for reading it! Based on a true event (seeing a stuffed toy stuck on a fence).
The link used to go straight to the story, but the Knowonder! site has changed; I’m glad you were able to get to it.

And I’ve just corrected the link — thanks for the heads-up, Chris.
