Winding down/going dark

blackBut this is temporary.

1.5 weeks remain of the semester, then commencement ceremonies (such a strange term, for something that happens at the end of a college career — I know the students are starting their next stage; it’s only the old guys like me who are ending rather than beginning something).

And then — 2 months in the UK, possibly Norway as well, doing historical and geographical research for one of my WIPs. It’s the big secret project that Karen Cushman has encouraged me to finish. Expect a two-month hiatus as I travel, read, write, and visit friends & acquaintances. I’ll reveal no more.

Tonight, at a large bookstore in Union Square, E Lockhart and some other YA authors are having a joint book launch, and I’ll be there to listen and get autographs. Read about Lockhart’s Disreputable History of Frankie Landau-Banks here and here (shameless plugs for my other blogs).

See you in August.
