This is not a NaNo avoidance tactic. I’ve been long needing to post something up over at PiA, and now it’s there. Something topical and, I hope, inspiring.
Today’s NaNo word count, at 7 am, stands at 30 words short of today’s goal. Not to worry. I’ll make it and then some. Then I’m going to squeeze in a visit to my local museum which, by the way, is NYC’s best medieval museum in the world: The Cloisters. Today there’s a talk about doors and windows in medieval art. I’ll also spend time in that memorable Janet Cardiff sound installation that I can’t stop talking about.
Life is good, despite the stack — both virtual and real — of students’ papers on my desk.
Wish I could hear Janet Cardiff’s installation. The Cloisters are perfect for that. Enjoy your day!

Next best thing is listening to Thomas Tallis’ 40-part motet on earphones.
